Commentaire

Website of Victoria and Albert Museum, London (accessed 26 January 2016):
This bronze medal was made by J. P. Legastelois in France, in about 1918. This medal, exhibited at the Salon des Artistes français in 1920, celebrates the contribution made by John Joseph Pershing the American general who led the American Expeditionary Force in Europe during the First World War.
